As promised to the parents, we make it back to France with all their children happy to be back but tired with their week in England and their night trip on
the ferry and on the coach.
I would like to say thank you to my colleagues who have agreed to accompany us and to the pupils for their kindness, patience and good behaviour.

Last day: it's time to say good bye to the families and to go and visit the biggest town of England: London.
Our geatest fear is to lose one or two pupils in the street or in the tube...That's why we spend our time counting and recounting them...
First we go and have a look at the Tower of London. As it's Christmas they have installed a giant ice-rink where Londoners can have a good time. Then we go for a boat trip on the river Thames. It's
nice because it enables us to have lunch and enjoy the view... On leaving the boat we start exploring the city on foot. We see the London Eye, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, 10 Downing street,
and Trafalgar Square where we take many a group pictures.Unfortunately the Queen has forgotten our appointment so we have to stay outside Buckingham Palace. Then we take the tube to go and visit
Mme Tussaud's and finally we go to Covent Garden for the end of the day to watch street artists and visit the market and the shops. We have dinner there and we go join our coach to go back to
France via Dover. On the road we meet giant traffic jams a few miles from Dover and we miss our ferry! we have to wait for the next one.

On Wednesday we go and visit Norwich; it is quite a long way from Cambridge.
I had hoped to find a place to send pictures and texts via my blog but unfortunately, it did not work out the way I had hoped, this is why I am only doing it now... better late than never...
In Norwich we visit the city with some guides,
the cathedral
and the castle

On Tuesday we go and visit another college
we go punting on the river Cam
we visit the Fitzwilliam museum which has an exhibition about realism
and we take part in a game called "Live the City". Mrs Bourre and I decide to participate. It is a kind of treasure hunt in Cambridge. Indeed we speak good English, so it is easy for us teachers
to understand the questions but as we are only two, we have to run like mad to go to different places as well as help or encourage the pupils we encounter. In the grand finale, we join a team of
boys and together we win!

This week, everybody, including the 4 teachers and the driver will be put up by British families. We all hope they will be nice and friendly!
It won't be long before we meet them so we are all both anxious and in a hurry because we are so tired!

In the afternoon we go to the cinema to watch "The Golden Compass". The film is OK, not too difficult to understand and it's
nice and warm in the room!
